The character of the original untouched 1950’s house, we wanted to not just keep, but highlight, pronounce and celebrate, by surrounding it with the contrasting retro-modern extensions.
Tying the contrasting styles together is the clever use of similar colour schemes and finishes on all.
House Kessel
The 2 brothers occupying this house wanted quite unique features, such as a large cinema room, passenger lift and an indoor teriyaki /braai/bar area with smokers lounge.
The exterior façade also portrays their unique, refined industrial taste, something you don’t see every day.
House Babbler
A contemporary residence where classic design is combined with bold, simple forms to create a contemporary interpretation with slick and sophisticated taste.
This also in turn creates a magical experience.
House Kirschner
These Modern farmstyle extensions and renovations to an existing farmhouse is a new fresh take on the old Gambrel roof design,
so common in historic American and Dutch Barn style architecture.
Contemporary finishes complete the new updated picture and sets the building up for another 50 years of Farmstyle living.
House Willson
Driving up the long driveway to the house, the architecture hints to the reminiscence of the old style, but with a modern twist,
creating an impressive and proud entrance as well as interesting façade.
House Bothma
This drastic revamp ,skipping decades of styles, was necessary to create the dramatic impact the client wished for in this home.
The house also went from absolutely no outdoor /indoor connection, to the new house having no distinction between indoor and outdoor, and the spaces seamlessly flowing into one another.
House Gholf
The house size was doubled by adding a first storey on top, thereby giving us the opportunity to completely change the style to modern Farmstyle.
All bedrooms were taken upstairs, resulting in a re-shuffling of all rooms downstairs, in order to create the modern, open plan- living lifestyle.

This was another classic overhaul of adding a first floor to an existing house, thereby changing the style to contemporary Farmstyle.
Internal restructuring of the existing house was also necessary, thereby giving the client a seamless indoor-outdoor connection and a open plan lifestyle.

This old neglected house needed a complete overhaul, connecting the existing house to the outbuildings as well as giving the house an ultra-modern layout and look, fitting for the hip & trendy Parhurst lifestyle.
House Gill
This house features open-plan living spaces that extend onto an expansive covered terrace with a pool and front garden.
The northern façade is the main feature of the house, and therefore give architectural focal points and experiential moments for the visitor to enjoy upon arrival.
